Below is a cut down version of my CV,
though it doesn’t include the interesting parts of my personality…well lets
hope I have something more interesting than working in retail for a solid four
years…
I am an Irish dancer, ever since the age of
6, and am interested in other styles of dance, though I haven’t had formal
training in anything else since about 8. At the moment I'm training for the World Irish Dance Championships in Belfast, Ireland, 2012. I am more interested in the performance and theatre side of it though, I have some hopes of being in a touring show... aiming somewhat high but you've got to aim high to get somewhere I suppose...
I miss playing sport, would like to get
back into it, unfortunately my life had become too busy during high school to
continue it; I still wanted to do well in my exams. I’ve had good experience
babysitting all ages, and my youngest sister was born when I was 14 so I am
quite capable of looking after newborns, babies, toddlers, the lot! Plus I have
a healthy dose of loving children, which does help get through the tough
situations of course.
I’ve had experience teaching, mostly the
younger dancers at my dance school, but I enjoy helping out with actual
schoolwork as well. It helps when my mother is a trained teacher! As part of
doing the Duke of Edinburgh award I helped out at an after school care centre
and that was pretty fun.
I love reading, I always have a good book
handy, though I may be a little stuck when it comes to packing my suitcase
…there’s all these weight
restrictions…and having to take some clothes…might pose a problem in trying to take my bookshelves overseas.
I have to admit it, I’m a science girl. I
took all three sciences plus calculus at high school, and am planning to do a
Bachelor of Biomedicine at University.
I’ve been a youth leader at my church (I’m
Catholic, though partly I think because I’m in New Zealand I’m a relaxed one),
and that’s had some awesome times and some challenging ones. I’ve also been a representative
of the youth on our Parish council, and that has opened my eyes a lot about how
much goes on behind the scenes in a parish, so that has been great as well.
So there is a little about my personality
and interests, I hope you like me :)
Now, onto the hard stuff!
